Rotary Peace Fellowships are fully funded scholarships for international students
The Rotary Peace Fellowship Program is a comprehensive scholarship program that is fully funded. Students can study at one of five partner universities in the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Sweden, Uganda, or Thailand. These programs support the development of future leaders and foster peace in the world. Students are awarded full scholarships up to three months after enrolling. The program also includes a comprehensive long-term peacebuilding program.
To apply, international students must be enrolled in a post-graduate program. Rotary Peace Fellowships are designed for students who are at an early stage in their career, but who are committed to the cause of world peace. Applicants must show their commitment to peace through their extensive reading and research. They must also be willing to share their work after graduation. The program will require students to maintain strong ties with their Rotary district. To apply for a Rotary Peace Fellowship, students must complete the online application process.
Fellows receive language training
The application process for the Rotary Peace Fellowship requires a strong commitment to peace and international understanding. In addition to the above criteria, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and three or more years of related work experience. Candidates must also have excellent academic credentials. The language training provided is an essential part of the program. The language training program takes place in English and the chosen country’s official language. After completing the language course, Rotary Peace Fellowship Fellows will receive extensive language training, including basic conversational French and Spanish.
The application process for the Rotary Peace Fellowship is highly competitive. Districts may nominate candidates for worldwide selection. A maximum of 130 fellowships are awarded annually in one of five Rotary Peace Centers. Once selected, Fellows are assigned to a center that is outside their home country. Fellows receive language training, cultural orientation, and practice opportunities to help them develop as effective peace catalysts. After receiving their fellowship, applicants will begin working on their projects and gaining experience as leaders.
Internships are fully funded
There are a few requirements to become eligible for a Rotary Peace Fellowship internship. The first is to be accepted by a Rotary district. Then, candidates must submit their applications to the district office by the end of May 2019. The Rotary Foundation reviews the applications and endorses the top finalists. After the selection is made, students must apply to universities for the internships. Once accepted, interns will be matched with universities with similar goals.
The Rotary Peace Fellowship program is designed for individuals with extensive experience in development and peace work, who are committed to public and international service. In addition to paying for tuition, Rotary awards fellowships to study international and local peace and development issues. Internships and field study costs are also fully covered. Rotary awards certificates to participants each year. There are two types of fellowships, focusing on conflict resolution and peace-building in various countries.
